The Bulldogs Coaching Team
Being a youth coach is a rewarding role. We understand the importance of coaches on young athletes lives. We ensure that our volunteer coaches respect and value the roles they play. Our dedicated coaches share not only their passion for the sport of football and the skills to become good players, they are mentors and role models. Teaching the value of teamwork, listening skills and mutual respect. Our coaches have and continue to play a positive role in the lives of our players.
Coaching Education
All coaches are required to attend the Suffolk County PAL Coaches Clinic before they are permitted to take the field. The Huntington Youth Football League (Bulldogs) partners with the USA Football Coaching Education to provide the best coaches for our program. With a focus on fundamentals and safety, USA Football is committed to providing football coaches with the best in coaching education. These instructional courses teach not on the plays but proper technique and form. Each coach must pass the testing at the end of the course to obtain their certification. Certified coaches appear on the USA Football National Coaching registry.
Background Checks
The safety of our players is paramount. Every coach is required to submit to a background check annually.
