Dear Bulldog Football Family or Bulldog Cheerleader Family,
The 2009 Bulldog Football and Cheerleading season is approaching. Please prepare for registrations in February and March. We have moved up registration because of changes to the Suffolk County PAL roster submission dates.
2009 REGISTRATION DATES
Friday Feb. 20th 6:30PM to 8:30PM
Saturday Feb. 28th 9:00AM to 1:00PM
Friday Mar. 13th 6:30PM to 8:30PM
Saturday Mar. 28th 9:00AM to 1:00PM
Late registrations will be accepted for any age group for which we have space available on a first come first serve basis after Mar. 28th, 2009. A late fee of $25.00 per registration will be assessed on all late registrations.
NEWS!
Coaches will be required to complete the HYFL 2009 Coaching Course consisting of 2 classes and one special teams clinic.
The dates for these in-house clinics are to be determined. Email info@huntingtonbulldogs.org or bwillie@optonline.net if you want to be notified about the dates.
5 & 6 Year-Old In Tackle program
8 on 8 Instructional Football will continue for the 2009 season. 7 & 8 Year-olds are likely to be PAL travel unless we have a significant increase in registration in 2009.
Team Sponsorships
Sponsorships are available for all teams. Please leave a message on the Bulldog Voicemail for additional information.
Fund Raising
Raffles - The single raffle book, each family will purchase at registration, was your minimum commitment to the league. Please do whatever you can to sell additional raffle tickets to family and friends. They bug you with their fundraisers it's payback time. Remember the HYFL is set up as a Not For Profit Corporation. Every dime that we raise goes back into the program. Every raffle ticket that you sell goes right back to your kids. Our Insurance costs and Town related fees have increased significantly this year and we need to offset those costs with fund raising.
Bulldog Journal
This year we will again print a Bulldog Journal, which will be distributed at your annual Bulldogs awards breakfast. The journal will include pictures from practices, group shots and good luck messages from family and friends. The Journal will be funded by local business ads, so if you know a business, which may like to have their ad included in this valuable keepsake item, you may obtain ad forms at the concession stand.

VOLUNTEERS
We are a 100% Volunteer program. Please leave your name at the concession stand to volunteer your time and talents to the league.
Volunteers are needed for the new Journal Commitee.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the sale of Team sponsorships and Journal Ads.
Team mothers and cheerleader squad moms are also needed.
Parents will be needed on game days to hold the chains and move down markers.
