    Practices
Practices are either Tuesday or Thursday nights from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM and Saturday mornings from 9 AM until 11 AM. Or Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturdays from 9AM to 11AM. The 1st practice is Saturday, July 18th at 9:00 AM. All Teams and Cheerleaders practice at this time.

Players should wear shorts, a tee shirt with their name on the FRONT, cleats (no removable cleats), cup and athletic supporter. Players must bring their own WATER to practice. Players will be evaluated during the first 3 weeks of practice to determine placement levels. We realize that most players will be on vacation sometime during the summer. The practices from July 18th to August 1st are the most critical and vacation should be avoided at that time if possible.

Football Equipment Days - We will be handing out equipment to registered players BEFORE the start of practices this year. Equipment will be issued on June 14th from 9AM to 3PM and June 28th from 9AM to 3PM. Both the player and a parent must be present to receive their equipment.

New Documentation Requirement - PAL now requires that we provide a signed and notarized document from a parent or guardian of every player. This "True and Original Birth Record Affidavit" is a legal document requiring the parent to attest to the authenticity of the Birth Certificate which you will show us. We will have a notary present on the equipment days for your convenience. New players need to bring an ORIGINAL Birth Certificate, at that time.

    MISSION STATEMENT
The Huntington Youth Football League Inc. (H.Y.F.L.) was established in October 2001 as a Not-For-Profit corporation pursuant to Section 402 of the Corporation Law of the State of New York.

The purpose of the Organization is to provide organized structured athletic activity for the youth of the Town of Huntington, through our Huntington Bulldogs Football and Cheerleading programs.

The goals of the H.Y.F.L. programs are to inspire youth, regardless of race, creed, religion or national origin, to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness. The H.Y.F.L. strives to make the game "fun" for all boys and girls. Coaches must constantly keep in mind the ages of the participants. The program stresses learning lessons of value far beyond the playing or cheering days of the boys and girls involved. These include self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, leadership, and good sportsmanship. With such goals in mind, and by providing an opportunity to participate in an organized, supervised environment with emphasis on maximum safety and participation, the H.Y.F.L. offers young men and women a unique learning experience.

    HOW ARE WE DOING?
We welcome your comments, opinions and suggestions about our program. Please use the link below to send us an email and let us know how we can make your Bulldog experience a positive one.
